CEEPUS

Central European Exchange Program for University Studies

The aim of the programme is to establish and promote the mobility of students and lecturers between the participating countries and to benefit from academic links and opportunities towards the creation of joint study programmes.

Higher education institutions from the following countries currently participate in CEEPUS: Albania, Austria, Bulgaria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Kosovo, Montenegro, Moldova, Poland, Romania, North Macedonia, Slovakia, Slovenia, and Serbia.

CEEPUS is network-based, enabling both international student and lecturer mobility and joint international cooperation projects. In doing this, knowledge and good practices can be transferred, intercultural competences can be strengthened, joint scientific and professional articles can be created, joint publications can be produced at national and international levels, and summer/winter schools can be organised.

Students and professors can apply for a scholarship within the institution’s network, known as the Network Mobility, as well as for Freemover Mobility (if the institution does not participate in CEEPUS networks). The CEEPUS scholarship is awarded by the recipient country and includes a scholarship, accommodation, healthcare, and provides a tuition fee remission.
