The Department of Geography also publishes scientific monographs as a part of the Prostori book collection. The Prostori book collection comprises two types of book publications: copyright works, which affirm, popularise and document the various research achievements of individuals, in particular geographers, and book publications in the field of geography and related disciplines. This includes original and translated scientific monographs, project reports, dissertations, study materials and university textbooks. In short, anything that is the result of research work. The collection is also a form of affirmation of the research of the members of the Department of Geography at the Faculty of Arts, and it is open to authors whose research is worth publishing in terms of its content and methodology. From a spatial perspective, the collection aims to provide new understandings of the local environment, Maribor and the North-Eastern part of Slovenia, and thus contributes to a better knowledge of the region and strengthens the awareness of its natural, cultural and development potentials. Book editions are usually available in both print and digital formats and can be accessed free of charge here.
