The Department of History at the Faculty of Arts of the University of Maribor, in cooperation with the Franc Kovačič Scientific Research Institute, publishes not only the scientific journal Studia Historica Slovenica, but also publishes scientific monographs. In doing this, we strive to achieve the following objectives:
- to study the history of the city and the region;
- to publish scientific results;
- to accurately present the history of the city and the region to the local public and ensure that the history of the city and the region is presented and brought closer to the EU Member States;
- to demonstrate our protection of knowledge, and appreciation and preservation of Slovenian cultural heritage and Slovenian national identity;
- to make an important contribution to the sustainable development of the city and the region.
