‘Without publication, science is dead’, wrote Robert A. Day in his book How to Write and Publish a Scientific Paper. In the Information Age, publishing the results of scientific research is no longer a prestige, but rather an obligation for each scientific discipline. In fact, the mission of the discipline has also changed. We care about research and education, but we also care about publishing the results of our own work. That is why the members of the Department of Geography, Faculty of Arts, University of Maribor decided to publish a scientific journal in 2006.
The Geography Journal is dedicated to the publication of original scientific articles in the field of geography and related sciences. In publishing, we follow internationally established standards. Two issues are published annually. Articles are published in Slovenian, English or German. The Editorial Board is comprised of internationally-renowned geographers and geographers from all seven continents.
